Model #DS105
An American Federal Period design (circa 1790 -1815) originating in New England
but used extensively throughout the new Republic well past the Federal period,
as settlers moved west and south to Ohio, Kentucky and beyond.
The design features arched and reeded pilasters over stepped plinths surmounted
by hand-carved pinwheel patrae and molded panels. The frieze features a center
plaque with a hand-carved two level draped fan. This is surmounted by a three
level cornice, the center element of which is a hand-carved dental molding. The
breakfront shelf is comprised of projections over the pilasters and an arched
center section over the plaque.
